This lab is provided with special machines and equipment with all protective and safety devices. AC & DC machines are installed as prescribed by the university to help students keep of current developments. |

This lab is set with all types of Bridges and Instruments. Working enables the students to understand the importance o calibration of energy meters and determination of impedances. |

Power Electronics Lab: |

Experiments on SCR characteristic, three phase fully controlled, half controlled converters, cycloconverters, SCR ring, counter, zero crossing detector, Digital measurement of Angular Velocity. Single phase Bridge converter, UJT fixing circuit using SCR/DIAC and TRIAC etc. are conducted in this lab which enable the student to understand and enjoy the role of Thysistor family in the field of power electronics. |

This Lab is for fresher where the students get a better understating of the fundamental laws and theorems associated with complex networks. This lab is fully equipped that the students can utilize it to understand the importance of circuits in the technical fields. |

Department of EEE conducted a National Level Technical Symposium TECHNOFESTA-ILEKTRIX-08 on 20th February 2008. Mr.Somnath Bhattacharya, Head of the Department of Electrical division, Durr India Pvt.Ltd. Inaugurated and addressed the students.
It was followed by the events like: i. Paper Presentation ii. Technical Quiz iii. Adzap
Dr.J.Raja, HOD/IT, SSN College of Engineering, Chennai chaired the session on paper presentation. Students from various engineering colleges participated in the events and won the prizes. |
